English is the standard form of communication in our global community. It is used worldwide by people who are from different countries but need to communicate with each other. It is the language of the business world, the Internet and the majority of electronically stored information is in English. The English language serves as a pivotal force in bridging barriers in communication which can make or break international relations and state of affairs. Students should be prepared to deal with the challenges of this age in English and to be able to defend them according to the values they have been taught.
